Subject: Regarding the Mainland Affairs Council's recent receipt of public complaints, requesting the Ministry of Education to remind its affiliated schools and relevant educational institutions to appropriately select teaching materials to avoid disputes, please be informed.
Description:
1. In accordance with the letter from the General Affairs Department of the Ministry of Education, National and Preschool Education Administration, dated August 11, 115, No. 1150072331.
2. The aforementioned letter states:
(1) Recently, public complaints have been received that domestic schools and childcare service institutions use documents or songs made in mainland China to assist in teaching. Due to the use of simplified Chinese characters in the document content and the political implications of the song's background, public attention has been drawn.
(2) Please remind schools, social education institutions, and cram schools to carefully select teaching materials (such as avoiding teaching materials with simplified Chinese characters from mainland China or songs with political implications) when engaging in teaching activities, and to integrate local relevant materials into daily routines to recognize and identify with local culture, so as to protect students' rights to learn.
3. The original letter and attachment are hereby sent.
