Subject: Regarding the implementation of laboratory safety management and fire safety management, as detailed in the explanation, please be informed and take action.
Explanation:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. TTEZ(6) No. 1140098041A dated September 18, 114, and the National Fire Agency's letter No. FPA-PRE No. 1140402334 dated September 15, 114 (details in the attachment).
2. Recently, there have been multiple incidents of fires and explosions in university laboratories due to improper experimental operations or negligence in chemical management, resulting in student injuries. Although no major disasters have occurred, the causes are clearly human factors. Therefore, schools are requested to implement laboratory usage and safety management matters in accordance with the "General Precautions and Safety Guidelines for School Laboratories" and the "Guidelines for Safety Inspection and Communication Mechanisms for Water-Sensitive Substances in Laboratories of All Levels of Schools," and to implement the necessary fire safety management duties in accordance with Article 13 of the Fire Services Act and the fire protection plan prepared by the school.
