Subject: Regarding National Taichung University of Education's organization of the
in-person workshop on Indigenous Education Teacher Training in Indigenous Culture and Multicultural Education for November-December 2027. Details are as described below. Please be informed.
I. In accordance with the letter from National Taichung University of Education dated October 12, 2027, Ref. No. TCNUE-ABORIGINE-1152061713.
II. Workshop information and registration methods are as follows:
(I) Pingtung Session Workshop Date and Location:
1. Date: November 7, 2027 (Saturday), from 8:20 AM to 5:00 PM.
2. Location: Classroom 103, North Building, Teaching Building 2, Pingtung University, Pingtung Campus.
3. For other information, please refer to the in-person workshop schedule. In case of any changes, please refer to the announcements on the Facebook fan page of the "Center for Indigenous Education and Cultural Studies, National Taichung University of Education".
(II) Target Audience: 1. The legally mandated participants are primarily full-time teachers in indigenous-focused schools or indigenous education classes, full-time indigenous language teachers, teaching support teachers, and substitute teachers or hourly teachers hired for more than 6 months.
2. Teachers from all levels of secondary and primary schools nationwide who are interested in indigenous education are welcome to participate.
(III) Official Leave Regulations: This course is a legally mandated training course jointly commissioned by the Council of Indigenous Peoples and the Ministry of Education. Please grant your affiliated teachers official leave or compensatory leave to attend the workshop, but personal teaching duties must be managed independently.
(IV) Registration Deadline and Method: Registration is open from now until 3 days before the workshop date. Please log in to the National Teacher Professional Development Network yourself and register according to the target audience for each session. Individuals who have not registered will not be permitted to attend the course.
III. The aforementioned legally mandated training course includes both in-person and online components. For the online workshop, please log in to the Ministry of Education's MOOCs platform, search for the "Indigenous Education Teacher Training" course, and complete the coursework. Simultaneously, please visit the Ministry of Education's K-12 Education Administration Indigenous Language Database (https://ipse.k12ea.gov.tw/aborigine_center/regular_form) and fill out the personal form without logging in to the website, to facilitate the subsequent cross-checking of legally mandated training courses.
