Subject: Regarding the "Indigenous Education Teacher Training in Indigenous Culture and Multicultural Education" workshop organized by National Taichung University of Education from January to May, 115th year of the Republic of China (ROC). Please refer to the details in the explanation for your reference.
Explanation:
1. In accordance with the official letter from National Taichung University of Education dated March 27, 115th year of the ROC, reference number: TCCU-ABORIGINE-1152060510.
2. Workshop information and registration methods are as follows:
(1) Pingtung Session Workshop Date and Location:
1. Date: May 23, 115th year of the ROC (Saturday), from 8:20 AM to 5:00 PM.
2. Location: Classroom 103, North Building, Teaching Building 2, NPU Pingtung University, Pingtung Campus.
3. For other information, please refer to the physical workshop course schedule. Any changes will be announced on the Facebook fan page of the "Indigenous Education and Cultural Research Center, National Taichung University of Education."
(2) Target Audience: 1. The legally mandated participants are primarily full-time teachers in indigenous key schools or indigenous education classes, full-time indigenous language teachers, teaching support teachers, and substitute teachers or hourly teachers appointed for more than 6 months.
2. Teachers from all levels of primary and secondary schools nationwide who are interested in indigenous education are welcome to participate.
(3) Official Leave Regulations: This course is a legally mandated training course jointly commissioned by the Council of Indigenous Peoples and the Ministry of Education. Please grant your affiliated teachers official leave or compensatory leave to attend the workshop. However, teaching responsibilities must be managed independently.
(4) Registration Deadline and Method: Registration is open from now until 3 days before the workshop date. Please log in to the National Teacher In-service Training Network and register according to the target audience for each session. Individuals who have not registered will not be permitted to participate in the course.
3. The aforementioned legally mandated training course includes both physical and online components. For the online component, please log in to the Ministry of Education's MOOCs platform, search for the "Indigenous Education Teacher Training" course, and complete the modules. Simultaneously, please visit the website of the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration's Native Language Database
(https://ipse.k12ea.gov.tw/aborigine_center/regular_form) and fill out the personal information form without logging in to the website. This is for the subsequent verification of the legally mandated training course completion.
