Subject: The Paiwan Indigenous Knowledge Research Center of our school is organizing the "2025 sikudan napaiwan Paiwan Indigenous Knowledge Research and Paiwan Studies Conference [Paiwan Studies, Paiwan Narratives: Our Knowledge, Our Voice]". We cordially invite representatives from your esteemed units to attend and provide guidance. Please take note.
Details:
1. "Paiwan Studies, Paiwan Narratives" insists on starting from the perspective of the Paiwan people, narrating, interpreting, and constructing our own knowledge system. Facing the long-standing dilemma of Western perspectives dominating the classification and interpretation of indigenous knowledge, we choose to return to the life experiences and collective memories of the community, starting from language and viewpoints to preserve
and pass down the wisdom and worldview of the Paiwan people. Knowledge is not just recorded in books, but is the practice of community life, the flow of elders' words, and the wisdom passed down through songs and rituals.
2. The time and location of the conference are as follows:
(1) Date: November 7, 2025 (Friday) to November 8, 2025 (Saturday).
