Subject: "2026/2027 Taiwan Area International Primary and Secondary School Mathematics Ability Test" is attached. We encourage students from your school to actively register and participate. Please be informed.
Description:
1. The selection method for the national team of the "International Mathematical City Invitation Tournament for Youth" will be simplified starting from 2025. The results of the first and second rounds of the International Primary and Secondary School Mathematics Ability Test (IMAS) will be used as the basis for selection. No separate preliminary or final selection rounds will be held. Please pay attention to the IMAS registration information.
2. Eligibility:
(1) Students currently enrolled in the upper elementary, lower secondary, and junior high grades of public and private elementary and junior high schools approved by the Ministry of Education.
(2) Eligibility for registration is based on the school grade in which the student is enrolled in December 2026.
1. Upper Elementary School Group: Primarily for students in the 3rd and 4th grades of elementary school.
2. Lower Secondary School Group: Primarily for students in the 5th and 6th grades of elementary school.
3. Junior High School Group: Primarily for students in the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades of junior high school.
(3) Participating students may register for a higher grade level but not for a lower grade level.
3. Registration Period: From now until December 15, 2026. 4. Test Dates:
(1) The first round of testing is scheduled for December 27, 2026 (Sunday). (Please refer to the IMAS brochure).
(2) The second round of testing is tentatively scheduled for March 21, 2027 (Sunday) (The exact time will be announced on March 1, 2027).

6. Admission tickets will not be mailed for this test. Participants should bring their ID card, National Health Insurance card, or student ID card (elementary school students may bring their household registration transcript) for verification by the proctors.
