I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. 1152802753, dated July 27, 115.
II. To commend and recognize individuals, institutions, schools, legally established corporations, or organizations that have made significant contributions to the promotion of human rights and transitional justice education in schools, the "Ministry of Education Award for Contributions to the Promotion of Human Rights and Transitional Justice Education" implementation plan is hereby established. The aim is to acknowledge the achievements of various parties in promoting human rights and transitional justice education through public recognition and awards, thereby deepening democratic, human rights, and the rule of law values, and to implement democratic deepening and intergenerational inheritance. Key points are as follows:
(I) Awardees: Individuals, schools, institutions, legally established corporations, or organizations that have made significant contributions to the promotion of human rights and transitional justice education in schools.
(II) Nominees should meet one of the following criteria:
1. Engaged in the dissemination and promotion of human rights and transitional justice education, with a concrete and long-term impact on fostering public critical thinking. 2. Engaged in the discourse, investigation, research, or publication of human rights and transitional justice education, with innovative insights.
3. Offered or organized courses, teaching, materials, or publications related to human rights and transitional justice education, with notable achievements in enhancing the knowledge and skills of teachers and students.
4. Established, maintained, opened, or revitalized facilities related to human rights and transitional justice education, or had a profound impact on the promotion of human rights and transitional justice education. (III) Awards and Quotas:
1. Lifetime Achievement Award: 1 recipient, who will be awarded a trophy, a certificate of commendation, and a prize of NT$300,000 by the Ministry of Education.
2. Group Award: 10 recipients, who will be awarded a trophy, a certificate of commendation, and a prize of NT$200,000 by the Ministry of Education.
3. Individual Award: 10 recipients, who will be awarded a trophy, a certificate of commendation, and a prize of NT$50,000 by the Ministry of Education.
(IV) Submission of Materials and Schedule: Please mail to the entrusted school, National Taipei University of the Arts (Transitional Justice Education Diversified Promotion Project Office) (No. 1, Xueyuan Rd., Beitou Dist., Taipei City 112301), by October 30, 115 (Friday), to complete self-nomination or recommendation (for detailed content, please refer to the attached implementation plan).
(V) Evaluation Method: The Ministry of Education will invite experts, scholars, and representatives from relevant agencies to form an evaluation committee, which will conduct evaluations primarily through written review; if necessary, interviews, presentations, or on-site inspections may be conducted.
