Subject: Regarding the migration of the Taiwan Academic Network (TANet) and Taiwan Research and Education Network (TWAREN) to the new generation 400G backbone network, please cooperate with the planned schedule for line switching. Please be informed.

Description:

I. In accordance with the letter from National Sun Yat-sen University dated July 9, 115, No. 1151100074.

II. To enhance network transmission performance and stability, the Kaohsiung-Pingtung-Penghu Regional Network Center, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education's "New Generation Academic Backbone Network Construction Plan," is replacing the existing Taiwan Academic Network (TANet) and Taiwan Research and Education Network (TWAREN) backbone networks and migrating to a 400G backbone network.

III. The migration operation is scheduled from August 4 to August 7, 115. The following are important notes:

(I) During the migration period, network services at each school may experience intermittent interruptions (approximately 5 to 10 minutes per school), and there may still be occasional unstable signal fluctuations in the early stages of the new line migration. We apologize for any inconvenience.

(II) Considering emergency response to unforeseen circumstances, it is recommended that each school reserve network outage protection and response time of 25 minutes before and after the announced downtime (a total of approximately 1 hour), and please try to avoid important campus administrative, teaching activities, or large online conferences.
