II. To enhance the understanding of government agencies regarding the non-discrimination provisions of the United Nations human rights conventions,
the Executive Yuan has compiled and published the aforementioned compilation as an e-book. It includes 12 individual complaint cases related to equality and non-discrimination rights, collected from recent reviews by treaty bodies concerning 6 human rights conventions that have been domesticated into domestic law. The full content of each case is included (covering facts, the complainant's claims and the State party's observations, the Committee's findings of fact, legal application, and the decision-making process, including whether rights were violated, whether discrimination occurred, and the remedial or policy actions the State should take). Each case is followed by extended discussion.
