Subject: Forwarding the application information for the "2026 Shen-Nung Original Homeland Exploration Campus Film Exhibition" free screening event. We kindly request your assistance in disseminating this information and encouraging your staff and students to actively register. Please be advised.
Details:
1. In line with Chairman Lin Bao-Yong's philosophy of "Loving Hometown, Loving Land," our foundation has continuously organized the "Original Homeland Exploration Documentary Competition" for 18 consecutive years. Through visual education, we have long guided teachers and students to care about their hometowns, understand their land, and cultivate civic awareness and media literacy.
2. To deepen the promotion of visual education and enhance students' understanding of local culture, our foundation has planned the "2026 Shen-Nung Original Homeland Exploration Campus Film Exhibition." We offer free screening services to public senior high schools, junior high schools, and elementary schools nationwide, and invite award-winning teams to conduct post-screening discussions and sharing sessions at schools.
3. The number of participating schools is limited to 70, with each school allowed to apply only once. The number of participating students must be 50 or more, or equivalent to three classes, or one grade level or above. This event is suitable for students from upper elementary grades to the third year of high school.
4. The application deadline is February 26, 2026. All related expenses (including attendance fees and travel expenses for the visiting teams) will be fully covered by our foundation. We kindly request your assistance in informing your school's teachers and staff to actively apply.
5. Additionally, our foundation plans to launch the "2026 Shen-Nung Original Homeland Exploration Visual Documentary Award" call for entries starting June 1, 115 (2026). This year's submissions include:
(1) Documentary Competition: Seeking works of 5-30 minutes, Full HD or higher resolution. Categories include Elementary/Junior High School/University Student groups. The top prize for students is NT$100,000, with the grand prize being NT$300,000.
(2) Vertical Short Film Competition: Seeking vertical short films (9:16 aspect ratio) within 90 seconds. No age groups. The top prize is NT$200,000.
(3) Submitted works must be visual creations completed within the past year. The deadline for vertical short film submissions is July 15, 115 (2026), and the deadline for documentary short film submissions is August 31, 115 (2026). We encourage teachers to announce this in advance during classes, club activities, or project-based learning and encourage students to submit their work (exact schedules and regulations are subject to the latest announcements on the official website).
