(1)Article 3: An appeal shall be filed in writing with an appeal letter or by transmitting an image file of the appeal letter via email within one year from the day after the appellant becomes aware that their rights have been unlawfully infringed due to discrimination. However, no appeal may be filed if the infringement occurred more than five years ago. The filing of an appeal as referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be based on the date the competent authority receives the appeal letter. If the appeal is submitted to the competent authority by registered mail, it shall be based on the postmark of the mailing date.
(2)Article 5: If the appeal letter and related documents are not prepared in Chinese, the competent authority may, when deemed necessary, notify the appellant to provide a Chinese translation.
