Colleagues are requested to comply with the "Code of Conduct for Civil Servants on Integrity and Ethics." When civil servants receive gifts from individuals with whom they have a conflict of interest related to their duties, they shall, except for the circumstances specified in the proviso of Article 4 of this Code, refuse or return the gift and report to their superior and notify the anti-corruption agency. When invited to banquets or social events by individuals with whom they have a conflict of interest related to their duties, they shall not participate, except for the circumstances specified in the proviso of Article 7, Paragraph 1 of this Code. In exceptional cases, such as official receptions or public events held for folk festivals, participation is permitted only after reporting to the superior and notifying the anti-corruption agency in accordance with Article 10. For matters involving requests or recommendations, civil servants shall also implement the provisions of Article 11 of this Code, reporting to their superior and notifying the anti-corruption agency, in order to maintain public trust in the impartial performance of duties by civil servants.
