As the Lunar New Year approaches, colleagues are reminded to adhere to the "Civil Service Integrity Ethics Regulations." When civil servants receive gifts or are invited to banquets/social events by individuals with whom they have a conflict of interest, they should generally refuse or return the gifts, and not attend the banquets/social events, unless exceptions apply as per Article 4 proviso or Article 7, Paragraph 1, proviso of these regulations. In such cases, they must report to their superior and inform the anti-corruption unit. For matters involving requests or recommendations, the registration requirements under Article 11 of these regulations must be followed to maintain public trust in the impartial execution of duties by civil servants.
